This programme is developed around a planned combination of learning outcomes that will provide learners the competencies required in the administration function of an organisation. It is intended to enhance the abilities of learners to provide entry-level services within the field of administration in all business sectors. Obtaining this qualification will allow the learner access to the NQF Level 3 National Vocational Certificate in Business Services – Office Administration Level programme.
The programme aims to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude in carrying out general office work, communications, customer service and office systems in line with organisational requirements using office equipment under minimum supervision. During the programme the learner will cover critical performance areas such as administrative tasks related to handling of office mails together with having intermediate word processing skills as well as communicating information in an office environment. Learners will also acquire skills to maintaining reception areas including delivering services to customers and processing customer feedback.

The entry requirement for this qualification is the National Vocational Certificate in Business Services (Office Administration) (Level 1)
Mode of Delivery
This programme is delivered through contact sessions that will provide the learner with the interpersonal support for learning to take place.
Furthermore, a workplace component will allow the learner to apply knowledge gained in a workplace environment.
This programme can be completed over a minimum duration of one year and a maximum of two.
